In 2024, the generosity of Telethon Community Fundraisers reached new heights. In the face of an cost of living crisis, the unwavering spirit of the WA community shone through, proving that when it comes to supporting those in need, Western Australians always step up.

From bake sales and lemonade stands to whole school fundraisers, and extreme challenges; fundraisers of all kinds played a vital role in this record-breaking achievement, all in the name of helping sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children across WA.

Every dollar raised by Telethon community fundraisers goes directly to providing essential care, support, equipment and life-changing opportunities for the children and families who need it most, making sure they receive the help they need during their toughest times.

Running her first marathon, Georgia Hurst joined 202 runners fundraising for Telethon in the Perth Running Festival.

"I know that for many children with childhood diseases, every day must feel like a marathon."

In their inaugural year, Kelpies for Kids auctioned four working kelpie pups raising a staggering $70,922 with all proceeds going to Telethon

In Geraldton, Cowboy shaved his half-century-old beard for family friend Pippa, who lives with cerebral palsy.

"I want to do something, not just for Pippa. She’s the reason behind it all, but it’s going to go to a good cause, Telethon!"

Firefighters and personnel from the Aviation Rescue Firefighting Service climbed 60,000 stairs as part of a gruelling 24-hour Everest fundraising challenge.

West Australians have again demonstrated their generosity and kindness, with Telethon 2024 raising an astounding $83,264,216 for the state’s sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children. The theme, Incredible Together, perfectly captured the essence of a united community coming together for a shared purpose, making the 57th Telethon Weekend one for the history books.
